What you should do
- Video call before meeting in person, every time.
- Meet first dates in public places and tell a friend where you're going.
- Never send money, gift cards, or crypto to someone you haven't met.
- Keep conversations in the app until you've built real trust.
- Report anything that feels off — you're never wrong to report.

FioreMatch watches for the patterns that romance scams actually use — money requests, crypto and investment steering, shortened links, pressure to move to another app within minutes of matching, and the same message blasted at many people at once.

You see a plain-language caution telling you exactly what we noticed, so you can judge for yourself.

Reporting is made prominent rather than buried, if you decide something is wrong.

Higher-risk cases go to a trained moderator — not to an automated decision.

Any enforcement follows a human's decision. It is never the automatic result of a detection.
What Scam Shield will not do
It will never label someone a scammer automatically, and detection alone never bans an account. Detection is lexical and behavioural only — we never treat someone's nationality, name, language, or photo as a risk signal. We deliberately under-flag: wrongly accusing a real member does more damage than a borderline case that the report flow still catches.
Trust Profile
Profiles show which verifications a member has completed — email, phone, photo, liveness, or identity. Each badge confirms one specific check passed. There is no overall safety score, and we never claim any member is guaranteed to be safe: verification confirms a fact, not a person's intentions. Members without badges are not marked suspicious — an absent badge just means an absent check.
Date Safety Mode
Planning to meet someone? Record who, when, and where, and optionally share those details with one person you trust. You can mark a date as started and completed yourself.
Date Safety Mode records a plan and can notify a contact you chose. FioreMatch is not an emergency service: it does not monitor you and cannot respond to an incident. If you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Every profile and conversation has a Report option. Reports involving harassment, fraud signals, or safety threats are prioritized for human review.
Our AI never makes final enforcement decisions alone on serious cases — flagged accounts are routed to a moderation queue for human review before major action is taken.
