How FioreMatch matching actually works
Most dating apps optimise for how long you keep swiping. FioreMatch optimises for how quickly you find someone worth talking to. Here is exactly how our matching works — no black box, no mystique.
AI Matchmaker
Describe what you're looking for in your own words — "someone who wants a long-term relationship, loves travelling and speaks English" — and FioreMatch turns it into structured search criteria. The AI can only pick from a fixed vocabulary of goals, interests, languages and cultures, and every criterion is validated before it reaches the matching engine. It cannot invent a requirement you didn't ask for.
Compatibility DNA
A short, light quiz plus your profile builds a picture across three plain signals: lifestyle, communication style, and interests. This is not a personality test and produces no psychological label about you. Results are always framed as potential compatibility, never as a scientific verdict.
Today's 5
Each day you get up to five strong suggestions — and deliberately fewer when fewer genuinely good matches exist. Padding the list with weak profiles would defeat the point.
It learns only from what you tell it
When you pass on someone, you can optionally say why. That feedback nudges how we weight a signal for you, within strict caps, and decays back toward neutral over time so your suggestions keep widening again. We don't infer preferences from how long you looked at a photo.
Every match explains itself
Each suggestion carries a "Why you may match" list built only from data we actually hold — a shared relationship goal, a language you both speak, an interest you both listed. If we can't back a reason with a real shared value, we don't show it.
Why you may match
- Same relationship goal: long-term
- You both speak English and Spanish
- Both interested in travel and photography
- Both open to meeting people from other cultures
What we score on
The matching engine blends these signals, weighted differently in each discovery mode. Anything we don't have data for is treated as unknown — never as agreement.
- Relationship goal and match intent
- Shared interests and ideal dates
- Lifestyle and communication compatibility
- Languages spoken, and language-exchange fit
- Location, distance, and future location plans
- Cultural interests
- Travel plans that overlap
What we never score on
The matching engine is only ever given the fields listed above. It never receives — and cannot infer from — ethnicity, religion, health, political views, or income. Cultural interest means what you want to connect with, never an assumption based on where you're from.
